Lebanon, TN - William Lawrence "Larry" Sawyer, age 74 of Lebanon, passed away May 30, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his father, James William Sawyer; son, Christopher William Sawyer; paternal grandparents, Dotson Elijah Sawyer and Sallie Mae West Sawyer; maternal grandparents, Felix and Anna Laura Pewitt.

Larry is survived by his wife, Caren Sawyer; daughters, Felicia Sawyer and Andrea (Jess) Sawyer; mother, Mary Agnes Sawyer; sister, Barbara Sawyer; brother, Phillip (Lynn) Sawyer; nephews, Eli and Will Sawyer; numerous other family members.

Larry was a man of deep faith, a gifted voice, and a joyful spirit. A longtime member of the College Hills Church of Christ, he served the Lord faithfully and shared his love of music wherever he went. He was a proud member of the Music City Barbershop Chorus and led singing regularly at Hearthside Retirement Center, bringing comfort and joy through harmony and hymns.

Larry was married for 45 beautiful years to the love of his life, and together they built a home filled with laughter, music, and faith. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a steady presence in the lives of those he cherished.

Sundays were sacred for Larry—whether at church or in his favorite recliner watching football. He cheered passionately for the Tennessee Volunteers and the Tennessee Titans. Family game nights were a tradition, and he especially loved a good round of cards.

Above all, Larry was a Christian who loved the Lord with all his heart. His kindness, humor, and devotion to family and faith will be remembered by all who knew him.

At Larry's request there will be no services planned.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Hearthside Retirement Center, 215 N. Castle Heights Ave., Lebanon, TN 37087.
