Lebanon, TN - Funeral service for Mrs. Joyce Underhill Crook will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Lohorn and Bro. Keith Gilliam officiating. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 2-7 PM and Thursday after 10 AM at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Crook, age 80 of Lebanon, passed away September 29, 2025, at her home. Born May 25, 1945, in Statesville, she is the daughter of the late Shelie Valter Underhill and Cora Owen Patterson Underhill. She had a home daycare for many years. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Leah Grandstaff; son-in-law, Dr. Bobby James Newbell; grandchildren, Hannah Ruth Grandstaff, Joshua Scott Makin, and Baby Makin; and three brothers, Morgan, John Robert and Jack Donald Underhill.

She is survived by her husband of over 64 years, J. T. Crook; four children: P. Jay Crook, Anita Crook, Julie (Wendell) Barrett, and April Newbell; son-in-law, Franklin (Frances) Grandstaff; two grandsons, Jonathan (Kellie) Grandstaff and Andrew (Kora) Grandstaff; two great-grandchildren, Lucy and Jonah Grandstaff; and sister, Patsy Jean (Barry) Turner.

Honorary pallbearer: Franklin Grandstaff. Active Pallbearers: Andrew & Jonathan Grandstaff, Wendell Barrett, Barry Turner, Van Bayne, and Dan Crook.
