Jerry Wallace Obituary
Elmwood, TN - Mr. Jerry Cordell Wallace, age 51 of the Elmwood Community in Smith County and a native of Lebanon, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville surrounded by his loving family.
Jerry was born December 26, 1974, in Lebanon, TN, son of the late Link Cordell "Toby" Wallace and Carol Bowen. He was married to Mary Nugent on April 20, 2010. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School and Volunteer State Community College. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked in security for Famous Footwear for over 20 years. He was of the Missionary Baptist faith.
Jerry was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. Jerry was a peaceful good-hearted man who enjoyed life and loved everyone. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan and loved spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Toby Wallace and Carol Bowen; stepmother, Teresa Ruth Bates Wallace; niece, Cassie Meadows.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Nugent Wallace; two children: Angelica Hearn (Brian) Southard, Genevieve Hearn; grandson, Shadow Orion Orasimo; sisters, Melissa (Mark) Joy, Rosa Candice Newman; aunts and uncles: Linda McKee, Cecelia Long, Pat Foster, Carmen Williams, Pam Chastain, Michael McKee, Timothy (Elsa) McKee; nephews: Corey (Mallory) Meadows, Caleb Meadows, Luke Nugent; in-laws: Mike and Debbie Nugent, Jeremiah Nugent, Joshua (Julie) Nugent, Seth Nugent, Cecelia Nugent.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home, 241 West Main St., Lebanon, with Lee Mangrum officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to assist with expenses.
