Watertown, TN - James Bruce Bolton, age 79 of Watertown, died Saturday evening, May 17, 2025 at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Born Dec. 20, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late James L. Bolton and Mary Adaline Pierciey Bolton.
Bruce was a former Safety Inspector for the FAA and was a reservist with the Air National Guard. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel and decorated veteran with the US Army receiving Bronze Star Metal; Army Commendation Metal; Air Metal; Vietnam Service Metal; Vietnam Campaign Metal w/ device 60; Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/ Palm.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Martin Bolton; sons, Jason (Jessica) Bolton and Sean (Kristy) Bolton; daughter, Nicole Bolton; grandchildren, Kamryn Bare, Paige (Jared) Fuson, Leighton Bolton, Kelontae Chumley, Chandler (Jasmyn) Bolton, Max Bolton; a great-grandchild, Liam Fuson; and his brothers, Greg (Louise) Bolton of New York and Wayne (Pam) Bolton of Titusville, FL.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2025 at Hunter Funeral Home. Visitation was 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. till service time on Friday. Interment with military honors followed at Hunter Memorial Park. HUNTER FUNERAL HOME 615-237-9318
