Lebanon, TN - Charles T. Haines, IV, age 86, known to most as "Chuck," passed away at his residence on August 4, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Eleanor A. Haines; parents, Charles and Esther Haines III; sister, Sara A. Haines; and granddaughter, Samantha Hatfield.

He is survived by his children, Christi Hatfield, Patrick (Diana) Haines, Jeffrey Haines, Kimberly (Matt) Huddleston, Kelly Daniel, and Holly Haines; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was dedicated to his wife and family and was a loyal friend. His twinkle-eyed smile touched many, as did his career in music. Chuck was known for his love of music, playing drums in a jazz band at age 12, the trumpet for the Denver Symphony at 14, and after college, he played trumpet with the United States Air Force Academy Band. Chuck landed in Nashville, TN, with his family in the early 1970s, working as a recording engineer and producer at LSI Studios on Music Row, Toy Box Studios with Tom T. Hall, and later Chelsea Recording Studio as co-owner. He worked with some of Nashville's greats, such as Ed Bruce, Glen Campbell, Janie Fricke, Mickey Gilley, and Chet Atkins, along with musicians such as Don McLean and Nancy Sinatra, to name a few.

He loved deep sea fishing, boating, golf, sports, cooking, and was an avid reader.

The memories of Chuck's life will forever be a blessing to all who knew him.
