Watertown, TN - Billy Gerald Nixon, age 72 of Watertown, died Saturday evening, May 17, 2025 at his residence. Born Nov. 22, 1952, he was the son of Nettie Ann Foutch Nixon and the late Billy Finis Nixon and he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Wayne Nixon and his father-in-law, Lendon Hill.

Billy was a 1970 graduate of Watertown High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University. He was a carpenter and enjoyed building, working with his hands and all outdoor activities. He especially loved hunting, fishing and kayaking.

Billy is survived by his wife, Brenda Hill Nixon of Watertown; daughter, Rachel Russell and her husband, Jackie, of Pleasant Shade; grandson, John Russell and his wife, Bre, of Pleasant Shade; his mother, Nettie Ann Nixon of Watertown; nephews, Jason Nixon of Knoxville and Jeff Nixon and his wife, Sarah, of Watertown and their children, William and Mary; and his mother-in-law, Corinne Hill of Watertown.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Bell and Bro. Wendell Winfree officiating. Visitation was 2-8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. till service time on Tuesday. Pallbearers, Jackie and John Russell, Jeff and William Nixon, Tony Nixon, Wayne Ferrell.
